IST Nurses
We have two nurse offices at IST, one at elementary school and another at secondary school. The Nurses' Room is an important part of IST because our nurses handle all of the medical needs of the students and staff. School nurses can assess and intervene in emergency situations, manage acute and chronic health conditions, refer to primary care, execute communicable disease control measures, and provide health promotion counseling. The nurses' offices are open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registered nurses are on hand in both offices.
management of Health Emergencies at IST
Our health clinic staff will build a tailored emergency care plan for your child if they have a chronic illness or health condition that could result in a life-threatening medical situation, such as diabetes, anaphylaxis, heart issue, seizure disorder or other concerns.. The emergency care plan will identify and explain the medical condition, as well as provide instructions on what to do in the event of an emergency. All instructors and employees connected with your child, including the cafeteria and the bus office, will receive a copy of this plan.
