After School Activities

alt text

After school activities (ASA) is an umbrella term for all learning activities taking place outside class hours. These include sports, international conferences, clubs and more. These activities help IST students develop interpersonal skills while extending their learning abilities outside the classroom.

As an IB school, IST's ultimate goal is to produce graduates who are lifelong learners. To achieve this, we ensure that for IST students, learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom. This helps them understand early on that what is learned in class can be applied in real life and vice versa.

Every year, the activities director takes suggestions from the student council and teachers. And from there, activities for that year are set out. This helps ensure that students have a choice each year on what activity to pursue.
