A Community School with an international outlook

What is important about the IST community?

  1. Diversity: more than 60 nationalities represented in the student body and more than 15 nationalities represented by the faculty.
  2. Personalised learning: students are challenged and supported to set learning goals that are individual to them and their interests.
  3. Support: students have access to phenomenal support to achieve their goals. They are guided in developing their approaches to learning, they have individual support from learning support specialist when needed and they have access to specialists who are skilled in a wide range of subjects.

“IST has been “very good [at] handling and integrating children who do not have much background in English [which] has been important to us. Also being at a school where the level of acceptance/celebration of children from different backgrounds is used as an asset has been fantastic for our kids.”

Child protection is extremely important. IST’s Child Protection Policy (Section 7.15 >>) together with procedures to verify the previous employment for new job applicants is part of our commitment to ensure all members of the IST community are informed and educated regarding symptoms of child abuse for the protection of all of our students.
