You'll discover blog pieces, audio clips, and movies to help you understand our narrative better throughout the various dates listed on the timeline. Make sure to look around for these hidden gems.
Following Tanganyika's independence, an enhanced international outlook and an influx of expatriate workers and their families in Dar es Salaam gave birth to the IST concept. As the foreign population grew, numerous parents began to consider the potential of establishing an international school.
IST was created in 1963 by a group of parents with the help of the then-Geneva-based International Schools Association.
The timeline takes a closer look at our past, not only at our school, but also at what was going on in Tanzania at the time. The picture of IST during its 55 years will become crystal clear thanks to first-hand accounts from our excellent staff, parent network, students, and key community members.
